Beginnen wir doch gleich einmal mit der Erkenntnis: Der Wandel ist unausweichlich, ein Naturgesetz.
Dieser Song aus dem Jahr 1974 wurde von Quincy Jones erstmals veröffentlicht. Mir gefällt von den vielen verfügbaren Versionen diese von Nina Simone am besten. Sie hat in ihrer Stimme eine Strenge oder auch Unerbittlichkeit, die keine Verhandlung zulässt. „Nothing and no one remains the same.“
Es gibt nur diese Gewissheiten: „Rain comes from the clouds, Sunlight from the sky And hummingbirds do fly“ Die Natur (oder vielleicht eher die Naturgesetze) als einzige Konstante - und die Schönheit, so interpretiere ich es. Das klingt dann eigentlich doch wieder ganz versöhnlich.
